New Delhi: An adorable video capturing a young girl meeting former India captain MS Dhoni, his wife Sakshi, and daughter Ziva has taken the internet by storm. In the heartwarming footage, Sakshi Dhoni can be seen trying to engage with the shy child, who seems a bit nervous in the presence of the celebrity family. Dhoni and Ziva, on the other hand, are all smiles, making the interaction even more endearing as they try to make the young girl feel comfortable.

Thanya Dhanush Gowda’s mother, Nethra, took to Instagram to share details of the heartwarming interaction between her daughter and the Dhoni family.

Describing the moment as a dream come true for her husband and the perfect birthday gift for their four-year-old daughter, Nethra also mentioned how humble Sakshi was in her interaction with their family.

Dhoni is one of the five players retained by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, alongside captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana.

Dhoni has been retained as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore, while Gaikwad and Jadeja have secured the top bracket of Rs 18 crore. Pathirana has been retained for Rs 13 crore, and Dube has been awarded Rs 12 crore.

According to the BCCI’s latest IPL auction rules, any Indian cricketer who hasn’t played international cricket for five years and does not hold a central contract can be considered uncapped.
