Cricket Australia Selects Three Indian-Origin Players for U-19 Women’s Squad In Tri-Series

Cricket Australia has announced their U-19 women’s squad for an upcoming tri-series against New Zealand U-19 and Sri Lanka U-19, which will kick off on September 19 in Brisbane. The squad includes three Indian-origin players – Hasrat Gill, Samara Dulvin, and Ribya Syan. The team will be led by former Australian cricketer Kristen Beams, who has been appointed as the head coach for the series. The tri-series will feature four T20 matches and two one-day matches between the three teams.

The three promising talents of Indian origin reflect the growing diversity within Australian cricket and it will also show the significant contributions of players with Indian heritage, Cricket Australia informed in a release. Dulvin is a right-handed batter who has played for the Australia U-19 against England U-19 earlier while Syan is a right-arm fast-bowling all-rounder hailing from Victoria. Gill is a bowler too who has represented Australia in U-19 matches against England and Sri Lanka.

Gill played a vital role against England in a T20 earlier in March and took four wickets in Hambantota, Sri Lanka. With her phenomenal performance, she can be a good asset for the U-19 Women’s Australia Cricket Team.
