New Delhi: Nicholas Pooran, the dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman from West Indies, is on a record-breaking spree in T20 cricket this year. With each match, Pooran seems to be setting new benchmarks and leaving fans in awe of his batting prowess. In the latest development, Pooran has shattered the world record previously held by Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan in T20 cricket. Playing in the Caribbean Premier League, Pooran showcased his explosive batting skills and achieved this remarkable milestone.

Actually, Pooran played an innings of 27 runs in 15 balls in the match between Barbados Royals and Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League 2024. With this, Puran broke the world record for scoring the most T20 runs in a calendar year, he has left behind Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan. Now Pooran has the world record for scoring the most T20 runs in a calendar year. He has scored a total of 2059 T20 runs so far this year. Rizwan scored 2036 runs in 2021.

This stormy batter of the West Indies is in great form in 2024. Pooran has played T20 matches for many teams including Durban Super Giants, Lucknow Super Giants, MI Emirates, MI New York, Northern Super Chargers, Rangpur Riders and West Indies.
