New Delhi: The first day of the two-day practice match for the Indian cricket team on their Australia tour was unfortunately rained out. The toss could not even take place at Manuka Oval in Canberra, forcing the teams to wait for clearer skies. Team India is gearing up to play a day-night test in Canberra starting from December 6, using a pink ball for the match. This warm-up match holds great importance for the team as it gives them an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the unique challenges presented by the pink ball. Despite the setback of the rain, the Indian team remains focused and determined to make the most of their practice sessions leading up to the test match.
Before this warm-up match, the players of both teams met Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra. Captain Rohit Sharma also gave a wonderful speech. Now Rohit is going to make a comeback from this match. He could not play in the first Test match played in Perth due to the birth of a child. In his place, vice-captain Jaspreet Bumrah took over the command of the team. India won the match. Team India is leading 1-0 in the 5-Test match series.
